Who is the course for?
Teachers from Pre-K to 8th Grade. The Weekly Wellness Program is specifically designed for you! With specific scripts for (1) Early Childhood (PreK - 2nd), (2) Middle Childhood (3rd - 5th), and (3) Tweens (6th - 8th)(4) Teens (9th-12th) to help you explain the brain technique to the students in your classroom
Teachers who are busy. This course is specifically designed for you! Bite-sized mindfulness activities are sent out 1x a week throughout the entire school year. We have already put together the scripts to use with your students, practices for you, letters to send home to parents, videos explaining and more!
Teachers who want to grow & learn a bit. Each course contains a short video, a mindfulness activity based on brain science, and an activity you can work on with your students. They are short and easy to integrate into your daily life.
Teachers looking to calm down amidst the chaos. That is one of the goals of this course. We are going to work with you to help train your brain so you no longer feel overwhelmed when the going gets tough.
Who is the course NOT for?
“Insta-fix-ers". This program isn’t for people who think that buying a course will suddenly help them in the next 2 minutes with all of the wonders of being that epic teacher who has everything together. This course is designed for busy teachers with ideas on incorporating things into your class, but you do still have to put in the work to see results.
People who are not interested in growth. This course is specifically created to help open your mind to a few new principals and concepts. We work with you to implement them in your busy, daily life! But if you're not open to trying new things, this course is not probably not for you!

Who is Created This Course?
Meet Kristen Race, Ph.D.
This dynamic online offering is created and presented by Mindful Life™ Schools’ founder and brain scientist, Kristen Race, PhD. Kristen has been featured on NPR, is a columnist for Psychology Today and Huffington Post.
She's presented nationally at the National Association of School Psychologists Conference and at the International Scientific Conference for Clinicians, Researchers and Educators.
Kristen was the director of Counseling Services for Colorado Academy and began her educational career as a teacher at the prestigious Buckley School in New York.
As a PhD. child psychologist, she's trained over 5000 teachers in the Mindful Life™ method and is the author of the acclaimed parenting book, Mindful Parenting.
Frequently Asked Questions
A new module centering around a new topic will be delivered each week. The activities will take you a few seconds to a few minutes to complete. Many of the activities are designed to be worked into your daily classroom. The course is meant to be practical. It won’t feel like work.

You are not alone. I’ve heard every excuse and witnessed every eye roll as I’ve taught formal practices to thousands. My methods are specifically created for those who have a hard time committing to the cushion. The five-minute-a-day formal breathing practice is a small but important part of the course. The crux of the course is a toolbox of exercises for you to use in the moment to combat stress, optimize your brain for better focus and productivity, and to increase your happiness.
You will receive a private login username and password that you can use to access the course on the course website. You can access the course on your phone, tablet or computer. We'll send you an email with a link each week to let you know the next module of the course is ready. Easy as 1-2-3.
You’ll receive weekly emails that nudge you to check out the latest module. You’ll get a checklist you can use to check off each module, if that’s your style (*raises hand / me too!*).
I encourage you to watch the videos and incorporate the activities little by little. That’s why we are opening the modules one at a time. If you don’t get to the videos right away, don’t worry. You’ll have time to catch up. But try to focus on one module at a time to get the most out of the course. Each week will have an overarching theme that builds on the week before.

You will have access to the course through July 31st of 2019! That way you can access the modules throughout the entire school year and at the beginning of the summer if you want to review some aspects to incorporate into your classroom for the next year!
